Fashion,

Living for now

Have you ever put together such an amazing outfit but decided it was too good to wear on just a normal ordinary day? No? Yes? Well, I can say for a fact, that has happened to me one too many times. I’m always saving a top, shoe, jacket or some other sort of clothing for one day when it will feel right but in reality, that day will never come. Lately, I’ve started to realize how short this life we live can be. Maybe you’ll never actually get to wear that item you are saving. This doesn’t just apply to clothes, it applies to everything you do. You have a goal of getting on the dean’s list in university; start reading now, don’t keep postponing until your ‘study leave’ week arrives. You want to lose a few unnecessary pounds; start eating healthy today, go for a run after reading this blog post. My point is that you start doing whatever you’ve been wanting to do, don’t wait for the perfect moment.

Which brings me to my outfit of the day. I intended to wear it to the Fashion Bloggers Runway event that was held back in June but unfortunately, things didn’t work out and I couldn’t go. I was reluctant to wear this outfit as I thought I could save it for a better, more perfect day. Well…here it is anyway. We shouldn’t live for the perfect day, we should only live for now.
