Fashion,

All about PINK

I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day. When it’s cold outside, I’ve got the month of May.

– My Girl by The Temptations.

That, up there, is how this look makes me feel. In fact, this whole song could have described how I felt that day. All that was missing was a group of 1960’s boy-band acapella singers to follow me in the background while singing this song. (You’ve probably heard it in many movies, most likely during a slow-motion scene where the main guy lays eyes on the girl of his dreams.) We’ve been experiencing a lot of cold, dull weather in Nairobi lately. So you can imagine how excited I was that the sun made an appearance last week. Perfect timing for a photo shoot, I thought. And what better colour to enjoy this little bit of sun with, than PINK? If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with the colour pink. I own a lot of pink things…and purple too. This dress was a gift from one of my lovely best friends, Miss Hope Jael. She got it while in her hometown of Kisumu. It was love at first sight!
