Fashion, Hair,

Wrap your Crown

Heya!

Today on the blog we have a turbanista joining us -that’s natural hair lingo for a pro at donning headwraps. This pro is the lovely Minna Mumma. She’s also a good friend of mine and hopefully a future fellow name partner of a prestigious law firm in one of Nairobi’s skyscrapers. It’s good to dream, huh? ?

Together we decided to make turban pictorials of different ways one can wrap their crowns. The pictorials are step-by-step and relatively easy to follow.

Turban One

Minna's signature turban style

This first headwrap is the easiest of them all. It can be done when trying to cover up all of your hair, for those bad hair days – yikes!? It can also be done with some of your hair left out, like the way Minna styled hers over her bob braids.

Turban Two

This second style is just as easy as the first. The colour and pattern of the scarf was so bright and vivid, it seemed like a better option not to leave any hair out and end up taking attention away from the turban.

Turban Three

Eyebrows on serious fleek!

Look at that eyebrow game! ?

For this style, Minna started off with a messy side bun – just to add a little “extra” to the style. It could also be done with the hair left hanging free.

Style four is similar to the first one. Only this time it’s sort of in reverse. ? I chose to tuck the scarf behind my ear at the end, it’s just a personal preference.

Some bandana love for the last turban style. This adds an edge to any look, not to mention a POP of colour.

Cheers!
